Chasing dreams (Part 1)

He was 27, back then. He used to work at mines, shouldering cold, hard coal and trudging his way back to the truck in the snow. When it was summer he would work by the docks, cleaning up the deck as part of a crew. In autumn and spring, he had the happiest job out of the rest. He got to work as a bartender near his home, where he could stay with his kids and his wife for at least half a day each day.

And so he worked and worked and worked, till the stubble on his chin turned grey and bushy, till his eyebrows lost their grip and fell, till the wrinkles on his weathered, rough face made it appear as if his skin had shrivelled up. He was forty-two when he looked in the mirror one day, and scrutinised his face. In his eyes he saw a gloomy visage staring back at him. He was befuddled with what he saw. He had enough money to get by and a little more, and had a family that always was copious of laughter. Yet it seemed succint that something was lacking. He reminisced the years that had flew by, and it finally hit him in the face. He had yet to pursue any of the dreams that his friends did when they were young, and the thought that he had lost his opportunity to do so rousted a vehement urge to chase his dreams he used to have. Before he knew it his face became a deluge of saltwater of regret.

He dragged his feet out to the porch, where the sun was happily beaming upon the grass, and he slouched on his good old armchair. As he watched his son and his wife, Caleb and Trixie, out playing in the sun, he couldn't help but smile. Caleb seemed so happy, the innocently happy smile never failed to cheer people up, but this time he didn't return the favor. Trixie turned around and locked gazes with his. A gorgeous smile spread itself comfortably upon her face without stint. Those sky blue eyes seemd to scintillate, even amidst the sunlight. She was beautiful. Only then did he wonder what it was that lacked inside his life.

That night he mooned over the things he wanted to do, those sugary dreams that were inculcated in his mind through the different movies and people he loved. He dithered about what he should do, too resuscitate those meaningless dreams or to stay with the life he had.

He was torn twixt the two, what he loved and what he wanted to do.

Chalet week.

After the other chalet i posted earlier, i went to chalet for marnillo and john. Hhahahaa freaking marnillo drank shots like no tomorrow and he still could play Fast and Furious and win wtf! The bastards was all there and i swear, John was looking like he could do Veronica any moment OOPS. Sorry veron!

Hahhaah so didn't really sleep and got clothes and bathed, before going to sentosa with LSK to sentosa!!



Hahah freaking fun and nicholas was ranting on and on about X-men, and the guy's head popping out under my arm is ruben, and ruben looks like the BEAST in x-men! Doesn't he? Okay introducing the lap sap kias, from the left, Lau, Ivan, Ben, Nicholas, Reuben, Me, Marvin and Edwin. Aaaaaaaaand our latest member, the guy with red and white spots, in between the letters ''L'' and ''S'', his name is RenZhe. NINJA. Ok inside joke.

After which i headed to Ivan's chalet, and got to met new guys and girls at the chalet. After which i headed over to Ivan's place to watch soccer and ton. Blacked out halfway waiting for the match lol!

In the morning we headed back to chalet. Went to play pool at ehub. Met endi and some other guys who came for second day and played. I played pool without Sandra Romain sorry sandra my love! Next time i'll bring you to play, saturday saturday, its not too far away.

At night marvin, nicholas stupid, and ruben came over. After which Jonan came and we did probably the most exciting thing i could do with a medicated oil bottle. I threw it full force at the guardhouse glass panel at downtown east and ran like fuckers. Hahhahaa jonan was steady enough.

Left Ivan's chalet for Relliez Chalet. Damn fun that one.Went with marvin, mark all to buy beer,
and headed to the chalet. They all had to go in due to some discussion and games after that. Me and jonan seriously DIDN'T MIND because we had our friend carlsberg to accompany us. >=D
The longer they stay inside the more we can drink nyahahahahahaa

I shall cut short alot of details because i'm dying after 1 week of not going home and chalet fun everyday and practically not sleeping at all so i'm gonna finish this chop chop.

We drank pretty much, and then went in to give emylee luck for mahjong but i think i made things worse lol! Sorry ah! Mark taught me and jonan how to play mahjong but we still noobs ah. Jonan won in the first dummy game we tried between me, mark, jonan and dummy yalam (Somebody left halfway =/)

Went cycling to yet another chalet!

Went over to Sunny's chalet, where we slacked for abit and inhaled hard liquor fumes LOL. Damn high. When we headed back we were damn tired and stoning, me and jonan i swear we had like 4 meals in the duration of 1am-6am(5 hours). After stoning we went to have fun with a very feminine cat. >=D

Arggghghhh okay so after that went over to sunny's chalet again to bathe but alvin and moustache went back to chalet after they bathe without telling me and marvin and jonan, who were outside playing name the band. Shit la. We waited for nothing and went back home soon after. REALLY FUN TIME MAN GUYS. THANKS AND SEE YOU ALLLLLLLLLLL BYE CRASHING NOW

WHAT A BLAST

WHAM. What a blast! Past 3 days was the BOMB. Where should we start?

Thursday.

Went to marketing exam, pretty much left half the paper blank, and went off after writing everything my mind could crap about the concepts. Met rambert and chester to go play pool afterward. And i swear, cj has to take supp paper! Poor guy mixed up timings for wed's paper with thurs' paper. Hahha..... Supposed to meet him but my matric card i left it inside the examination hall. WTF! Went back to get it. Thanks yiwen for offering to help! =)

Ended up playing pool with rambert, joash and chester. Nobody wanted to hustle. -.- So we headed straight to the chalet. THERE IS WHERE THE FUN BEGINS NYAHAHAHA!!!
Marvin got liquor, Johnnie Walker. Went to kup some beer with the rest. HEHEHEHE i went to spoil children's dreams by pinching all the kinder joy eggs out of shape GIAN SONG! Alex and azmi laughed their evil asses off. Bastards!(Like me =P)

And so we went to chalet to play games and drink, and we sung as well. Hhahaha ruben and nicholas were the shit man they played the songs. Sang sorry, heaven, always, i'll be there for you.

Soon after we went to the redhouse, where we climbed in in groups of 4-6, with me were marvin, ivan, jonan, ben and sq i think. Last guy can't really remember. So we went around, looked in the mirror, and pretty much saw nothing. After we got out, i told ghost stories. Everyone wanted all the tp stories for more kick cause we're all in tp! Hahhaha i told stories till i myself had goosebumps. I still think bloody mary had the most kick huh?

We saw while i was telling stories by the curb, that some malays driving a lorry came by. Some of us went in with them. There was this one girl who could see 'things' after going in to take photos, they came out, and fucking hell there was really something in one of the pictures. I stopped looking before i could see the whole damn thing clearly. That pretty much was enough for me for the whole ghost thing.

Headed back to chalet for ghost stories round two. (MARVIN YOU AND YOUR HYENA GHOST SOUND SPOILER!) HAHAHA. Yup so we turned off all the lights and i told stories, myths and real life stories, in the dark with only one light shining on my face, as you can see below.

After the stories me and jonan and ruben and ben and nigolas narbay went for something SPECIAL. HEHEHEHE CAN'T SAY, ASK ME PRIVATELY. Here goes! >=D


Hahahhaha it was the BEST MEMORY MAN YOU LSKs!!! FUCKING SHIOK. It ended with me and jonan doing the ultimate challenge YEAH JONAN. You and me make the shit! Hahhahaha and after that pretty much slept till morning.



Friday.


Haha friday was a blast too! Met yanshan in the evening to help her with her public speaking CDS. Hoped i did help anyway. Went to buy food from the pasar malam and then went to macs. Met Zain and the rest at mac! Gracie Phua, moustache, brandon and all were there too. After doing project with ys, i headed over to the chalet.

PARTY TIME!
With the help of a beer i managed to start a really nice fire and i decided to call her baby. Now take a look at my baby. Isn't she beautiful?

So we cooked stuff and talked and talked and talked about all the stuff we could share. Nigolas decided he's scared he's getting married hahahahahaaaaaaaa no worries nigolas narbay! Got us around man. >=D So it was pretty much doing crazy stuff after that.

Hahahahahahaa and so it was BOXERS CATCHING! HAHAHAH FREAKING FUN. Well i guess we were all high after all the singing and shit so it ended up like that. Ran all around downtown east chalet. Freaking fun.
